Next steps in your Solar Journey
To proceed with your Solar PV and green technologies path, here are some resources and considerations to get you started. Feel free to reach out to us for further information.
Lowering your Installation Costs
Consider forming panel clusters with neighbouring buildings: the bigger the system, the lower the cost! To benefit from economies of scale, speak to your neighbouring businesses to see if you would want to quote and install a solar PV system together.
The Quote Obtaining Process
1. You contact an installer
2. The installer discusses your initial options and provides rough estimates
3. The installer conducts a technical site survey (most likely in-person): the installer will send someone to access your roof’s solar PV potential (or through phone/ video call), and consider the following aspects before giving you a quote – amount of energy consumption, usage profile (when electricity is used), current spending on energy consumption, practicality of Solar PV size, your roof structure (can the roof accommodate solar PV installation)
4. The installer sends you a personalised quote & recommendations
5. You accept the quote
6. The installer install your solar system (also a smart meter if you don’t have one already installed, and potentially any add-ons)
7. You benefit from cheaper, greener electricity. The installer may also teach you to use their energy management system
