Graduating top of her year in chemistry from University of Exeter, Joanna was awarded a PhD in electrochemistry from the same university for her research into electrochemical sensors. Joanna joined the profession in 2002 and joined Withers & Rogers in 2008.
Joanna is a partner in the Life Sciences & Chemistry group and a general chemist. She has particular expertise in the fields of electrochemistry and the circular economy, working extensively with clients in the energy generation and storage industries and in the field of recycling and reducing the carbon footprint of industrial processes. Joanna is acknowledged as an expert in the electrochemical field, and her portfolio includes clients working with fuel cells, photovoltaics, electrochemical sensors, electrochemical sequestration and purification techniques, electrode materials, thin film technologies, nanomaterials, coating technology and grid energy firming
